A collection of the major design projects I have worked on

Contact me

This is a collection of my work showcasing the projects I was involved in as a CAS & Class-A Surface Modeller. Most of the work I'm allowed to disclose publicly has been for BRP, as this is where I spent most of my design career.

Pretty much all I ever worked on were new products from the ground up, or completely redesigned vehicle platform. I have always been involved from early stages of development, acting as a central hub between the different design contributors. I am known to be a very versatile person and a relentless go-getter.

I am now freelancing on some select project while also heavily involved in my own product development company, SCAPE & CO INNOVATIONS Inc. I hope you enjoy this curated selection.

2023
BRP | Advanced Riding Gear

ADVEX Helmet Program

Seamlessly integrating the Vibe Communication System,  the ADVEX® helmet is the ultimate lightweight full face with enhanced anti-fog features, notably the adjustable top and side vent exhausts. These allow the rider to adjust the helmet's inside temperature for maximum confort in all riding conditions.

It is of course offered with the optional heated shield, but the ultimate addition is the noise-cancelling ear pads for fatigue-free extended rides. I was involved in the outer shell shape iterations & Class-A surfacing, ensuring fit & finish with the surrounding peripherals. I am pleased to see the final result.

PYRA Helmet Program

The PYRA® Helmet was BRP's initiative to develop an ultralight, open-face helmet for dynamic, deep-snow riders. This model was built from scratch based on some preliminary volumes and renderings. I ended up drafting all the curves to ensure proper flow from all viewpoints.

Helmets are a great skill test, as projecting graphical elements onto a spherical support is difficult to control from all viewpoints. This project was completed under tight deadlines in order to meet market entry dates, just before I was requested to join the Advanced Concept Studios for a special program.

2020
BRP | Can-Am Off-Road

MAVERICK R Program

The CAN-AM Maverick R® was one of the toughest project I ever worked on, as the boundaries of what an off-road vehicle can do were pushed to the limits. With a new turbocharged powertrain and direct shift gearbox, lots of airflow was needed to cool down this monster. The front suspension package, going right through the bodywork, was a challenge on its own.

I was involved into planning and ressources management, coordinating concept maturity & full-size clay development, while keeping digital mock-up integrity for engineering prototypes. I was responsible for the exterior surfaces delivery.

OUTLANDER PRO Program

The CAN-AM Outlander Pro® was a complete vehicle redesign, with a new chassis, new suspension, new lighting system, and a myriad of accessories integrations. A lot of sweat went into it; I can tell a story about every line and curve shown in these pictures.

As CAD lead, I was responsible for integrating the ergonomic and engineering constraints while keeping the styling intent as integral as possible. I was involved in the makings of the ergonomic buck, the scale models, and the full-size clay models that led to the working digital mock-up of Class-A production Surfaces.

BRP | Can-Am On-Road

RYKER Program

I was involved in the CAN-AM Ryker® program after the initial ergonomic and styling concepts were produced. I was called to ensure a smooth transition from the early stage concept models to a more thorough, engineering-ready digital mock-up.

As CAD lead, I ensured data integrity, tolerances, and quality while coordinating external help throughout critical stages, all the way to Class-A production surfaces. I also did the dedicated Audio System a couples years later while working with the accessories team, starting from a clay scan.

2015
BRP | Sea-Doo

RXT, GTX, and TRIXX Programs

The Model Year 2018 Sea-Doo® was a complete redesign of its predecessor. It featured a brand new hull & deck, and an industry-first opening lid that allowed for a tremendous amount of stowage. It also featured a fully integrated waterproof audio system, and a removable passenger seat revealing all the rear deck space on which pop-up LinQ® anchors allowed you to latch your dedicated cooler or fuel tank.

This was my first mandate as a professional studio modeler, as I joined the team just after the scale models review. Starting to rebuild surfaces from the 3D scan of the chosen theme, I was thereafter mentored into best practices by a good friend and colleague, himself trained by Italy's renowned  Pininfarina firm.

The RXT and GTX models were the first introduced to the market, and share the same hull and deck with the later GTI and GTR models.

I was also involved in line-up project Trixx® that took the Sea-Doo Spark® to a whole new level. The parts in question were the footrests and the telescopic steering controls.
